Meditation can affect people in so many ways including positively changing the way you feel and the way you think. Meditation also increases the feel good hormones released into your body (such as dopamine, serotonin) and reduces stress hormones (such as adrenaline and cortisol) which is one of the reasons it helps with depression and alleviates stress. Meditation can also boost and balance your energy levels, and help with creativity, focus and clarity. These are just some of the amazing benefits Meditation can bring.
There are many different styles and approaches to achieving the results Meditation can bring.
Meditation & Children
Children and their mothers come and see me when there is something specific affecting their child that they would like some help with.
The sessions can help with anythig your child is struggling with. Some childhood topics this can help with include: Stress, Anxiety, Fear, ADHA, Autism, Depression, Confidence, Courage, Bullying, Concentration, Safety and Studying.
At the beginning of the session I will put your child at ease as we chat a little bit about what is concerning you and your child. Initially, it is helpful for the parent to do the talking, but usually children quickly fnd they are able to speak about their feelings.
Then, I will give a Guided Meditation tailored specifically for your child and their particular issue. Most children really love the Guided Mediation and often ask their parents if they can listen to a recording of the session again and again, particularly at bedtime.
Sessions generally are between 20-30 minutes depending on the child, their age and the topic.
Meditation for Emotional Well being
I work with clients privately to help achieve change in their lives. The individual sessions are as completely unique as each person, their life and their challenges. I blend my skills as a Coach ad Meditation Teacher to work precisely with my clients difficulties at that time.
During the session, we will discuss your particular topic and goal for the session and you can also expect a deeply relaxing, guided meditation. Most clients will notice change after their first session.
